ABOUT AAJEEVIKA

National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India in June 2011. Rural Development Department is working tremendously well in the aspect of upliftment of Rural Women by providing them various Livelihood generation opportunities through NRLM. Under the NRLM Special efforts are made to identify vulnerable and marginalized households – SCs/STs, single women & women headed households, disabled, landless, migrant labour, isolated communities and communities living in remote, hilly and disturbed areas. HPSRLM is providing proper training to SHG members for managing their institutions, linking up with markets, managing their existing livelihoods, enhancing their credit absorption capacity and credit worthiness, etc. In addition, the poor would be facilitated to achieve increased access to rights, entitlements and public services, diversified risk and better social indicators of empowerment.
